Hello all, sorry but I'm really new to this wonderful world. I installed Armbian with Ubuntu 14.04 on my Orangepi and I'm expecting to see the GUI, but I'm at the login.. Startx doesn't work. Do I need to 9nstall the GUI?

Tanks

Ok, i tried, but i think i's too much difficult for me. I believed that i coud.

I would like to have a system (with my OrangePI) like a media center (i.e. Kodi) but i can't. Maybe OrangePi PC is faster (or better)

Neither better nor faster. Just different and limited. There's an overclocker's forum that will tell you quite the opposite but it's not true unless you fry your device all the times.

If you want a media center, then the important stuff happens in different SoC regions than the CPU (HW accelerated video decoding --> VPU). Simply use Android and you're done. There this stuff works. You might also try out Igor's Ubuntu Trusty (desktop) image or this here: https://blog.eldajani.net/banana-pi-arch-linux-customized-distribution/(works on your A20 based Orange Pi since it's the same. The Orange Pi vendor claims he also designed the Banana Pi and in the meantime I believe it's true: http://web.archive.org/web/20151129140451/http://www.orangepi.org/orangepibbsen/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=663&extra=&page=2 )
