Matthai Posted August 3, 2017 Share Posted August 3, 2017 I tried to boot my brand new OrangePi PC Plus without SD card, and it boots to some Chinese OS. However, if I boot it with Armbian, it boots to Armbian. So my question is, is there some kind of "BIOS" or similar firmware preloaded on these devices? martinayotte Posted August 3, 2017 Share Posted August 3, 2017 After having booted Armbian from SD, you can use nand_sata_install.sh to copy the Armbian over the current Android image present in the eMMC. Then, shutdown, remove the SD, and re-power the board, it will boot Armbian from eMMC. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
