Rock 5b Cinnamon Feb 26th 2025 build - no wifi

Hi I have just installed this version of Armbian on Rock 5b but there is no wifi! I have wifi module installed and works fine on the latest Gnome build but not on Cinnamon. Can anyone help please? I have also found that there is no sound through hdmi. Only option is for headphones! How can I change this?

 

Note: just started up again and option for wifi has appeared, good news! But still no sound.

If you are using kernel 6.12.y, perhaps related: https://www.armbian.com/newsflash/armbian-weekly-highlights-11/

Thanks for the info but I am not using a rolling release. I f this update/patch can be applied to the version I am using how do I go about that? Failing that, where can I get the latest version of Debian cinnamon with the patch included? The software has been fully updated as of today but still no hdmi audio. Is there a simple fix? Thanks for your help

 

update. I have gone into Armbian-config and changed from stable to rolling updates but still not working!
