köksal Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Hi , I have an orange pi zero . I installed armbian_5.38_Orangepizero_ubuntu_xenial_next_4.14.4 my orangepi zero. when ı use 'sudo nmtui' , it does not see wifi networks. I read many questions and answers about this issue but ı dont solve. I am waiting for your answers.
Igor Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Forget about using this wifi. It could be the worst chip ever made The only real solution is to use some USB based wifi, Realtek 8811AU or 8812AU is recommended.
köksal Posted February 6, 2018 Author Posted February 6, 2018 İf ı connection usb wifi to my opi zero , is it connection wifi?. The XR810 is already damaged. If ı add an extra wifi module(Realtek 8811AU or 8812AU), can it?
Igor Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Optionally disable onboard wifi - blacklist the module xradio. Then attach a good and supported wireless chip and you are good to go. 881x is a good choice but there are other good as well. You can find them on download page: https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-zero/ (scroll down)

As you said, the best solution is to buy a new wifi module.
