gyrex Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Hi guys, In order to increase the CPU frequency on my Orange Pi Zero Plus I need to run the 4.17y kernel: I downloaded the prebuilt image from armbian which only includes the 4.14y kernel. Is there any way to download the newer 4.17y kernel, rather than having to build Armbian from scratch? Sorry if this is a newbie question but I'm not a linux expert. I appreciate any help in advance
noxlin Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 run armbian-config. in menu system-->switch -->switch to dev kernel . or night building kernel . the system will download and switch to new kernel.
gyrex Posted September 6, 2018 Author Posted September 6, 2018 Thanks for your response. I tried using nightlies but it's still using the 4.14y kernel. I'll try building from scratch.
gyrex Posted September 6, 2018 Author Posted September 6, 2018 OK, so the solution was to run armbian-config, switch to nightly builds and then the option for switching kernels became available. Thanks for your help noxlin!
