I noticed that the Cubie a5e would reboot when anything that draws moderate power (>100mA) was connected to the USB3 port. Thought it was my power supply or USB cable, but after changing that out and doing some testing, I have determined that the reboot problem doesn't happen with the Radxa Bullseye image, only with the Armbian Trixie. I haven't had a chance to test older Armbian builds to see if it broke somewhere along the way, but that's what I'll do next. Hi, after find out that the usb-connector right so have I tried install on a usb3-sata-m2 disk, I have problem to install. I created partision on the usb-disk with ambian-install, and after that trying to select 8 (download and install clean image), but it can't find any image for my board. I have no eMMC on my 4GB ram radaxa zero 3Wso I run from SD-card.

Ya, I know, but I haven't figured out how to work with these devices that have "built in" serial->USB adapters. The USBC becomes a serial port when connected to my computer, but that also powers it on, and it's not actually a port until the e25 has power. It's a catch-22. It needs power for the port to appear, and by the time the port appears and you've already missed part of the log. I connected UART today and did some debugging, and it looks like that this u-boot 2025.10 for Armbian 26.02 doesn't see NVMe drive, i.e. 'nvme scan' returns nothing. Is OPi5 NVMe support included in upstream mainline u-boot?

I've been trying to get the LCD working on my box. I've used Nicks image - Armbian-unofficial_25.05.0-trunk_X98h_bookworm_edge_6.12.11_xfce_desktop I've followed instructions for OpenVFD and tm16xx on these forums but both result in an Exec Format Error when I try to install the compiled module. From what I have read this is a version mismatch between the kernal and what the module was built with but when I compare uname -r with the vermagic of the module they match. I initially installed the linux headers from Nick's Github: linux-headers-edge-sunxi64_25.05.0-trunk_arm64_6.12.11. After I got the format error I tried installing headers from Armbian-config but get the same result. Make wouldn't work at all initially until I did a symlink between the relevant folders in usr/src and lib/modules. Maybe that stuffed something up?

@Nick A Is it possible to create an image using the driver that Kevin posted? Because I tried to compile it and couldn't, several errors with .h file paths and C language function errors. Even importing the include linux/timer.h, etc., several errors occurred and I couldn't compile it on the SD card running Armbian. I don't know if I did something wrong or if I need to do it differently.

The Radxa bullseye image looks to boot fine, but Armbian forky does not boot at all.

boot up armbian. check the /dev partition You will see mmcblk0 mmcblk2,etc The android image likely has many partitions. so you will see mmcblk2-9 etc, thats what we want Go ahead and dump the first 250mb (probably more than needed but just in case) into an image file and upload it, i can extract the dtb from that assuming mmcblk2 is what we want, you would run sudo dd if=/dev/mmcblk2 of=mmcblk2-first250mb.img bs=1M count=250 status=progress then upload that.
