Hi @amazingfate , Can you share us how to build kodi from xbmc source with lib ffmpeg from jeffyCN ? i read your guide from post in radax forum , but it's still little confused how to combine all of them into one build environment . I think Kodi 21 fixed this issue , so i will try to build and start debug from this version instead of kodi 19.4 .

Hi @amazingfate , why do you think this issue related to Kernel not support this format ? I developed ATV rom for OrangePi5 with latest kernel rkr3.6, Kodi can play the same format which is failed on Armbian , player show AMC(HW) , but instead of DRM it showed Surface on Android. I mean Android Kodi can run HEVC x265 HDR10 very well . i see that armbian also switch to use latest kernel rkr3.6 , can you help check again this issue on latest build ?

Hi @royk , i got GBM as kodi via login screen , but still no video for HEVC (x265) codec , i'm sure this video is not HDR.

It show wayland , or kodi-wayland as i remembered , i see rockchip updated MPP , so i will try to build the lastest MPP , hope it can fix this issue

Hi @royk , i made all steps from amazingfate guide , i'm sue that kodi is running with rk_hw acceleration , i tried to get gpu or mali log from dmesg , but no error log . It's so strange . in Android 12 , it looks like it will use libGLES as default , and it can play H265 (HEVC) format very well , is there any method to switch to use libgles for kodi ?

Hi @royk , i don't play HDR file or movies, i just open HEVC format ( also known as x265) , i tried to play HEVC on Kodi on wayland and "Kodi login" , all of method behave the same issue : "cannot play HEVC format " -> play back still going but only black screen

Thank you to Armbian forum users @royk and @amazingfate , i tried to run Kodi on Armbian trunk release , everything works well except HEVC or X265 codec show only black screen ( i can hear the sound from playback but no display) Do you have any idea to fix this issue ? And one more question , i tried to update lib panforst-mali from launchpad to DDK version 15 with hope can fix this issue, but after "sudo apt dist-upgrade ;sudo apt install mali-g610-firmware" , i checked current version only 13, @amazingfate can you help update your launchpad to latest version ? Thanks

Hi @maximumsettings , how can you enable overlay stats like that , i don't see any option to do that in moonlight-qt , and how much bit rate you used with 1920x1080p 120 FPS ?
