Hi folks, I tried to run jdownloader on orange pi pc under armbian 5.25 but it was not successful, i noticed that java uses more than 100% of cpu, is it normal ? Best regards. Adel.

I hear that Orange Pi 2E has 1GB network speed and an USB3 port. In my project I paln to use an SBC as a network bridge and sniff traffic for problems. A simple network tap would otherwise be ok but they come only with 10/100Mbd speed limit. What I'd do have two ethernet ports on the Orange Pi, one regular and one via USB3. No to my question: are Orange Pi capable for this or is the advertised network/USB3 speed buggy/lacking? I have one Orange Pi PC for a file server and it has been running for weeks just fine. Raspberry Pi's are fine to (albeit still no 1GB ethernet). Raspberry Zero's have issues (mine seem to lock up after a couple of days).

Hi, This is my first post and I want to say thank you to all the developers and contributors of this great eco system. I've build an image for odroid xu4 with the openmediavault script. This is really great because the software packages and kernel ist up to date and running like a charm. Then I tried to get my DVB card working but that is work in progress. The card is not supported by the 4.9 Kernel and the usual way is to compile the media_build package from hier: https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/How_to_Obtain,_Build_and_Install_V4L-DVB_Device_Drivers But with an cross compiled system as armbian is, the build process against header files isn't working for me. There are posts from other users witch were in the same situation as I am (see reference at the end of my post) I tried against the header files and get an error "scripts/basic/fixdep: 1: scripts/basic/fixdep: Syntax error: "(" unexpected" (see http://paste.debian.net/950874/ ) I also tried against kernel source from the cross compiling system. Otherwise you will get double exported symbols when loading the drivers on the armbian system Install the kernel on the armbian system. Double check if in the /boot directory everything is correct. (On my system the links for kernel wasn't updated) Copy the source code of the running kernel from the building computer to the armbian system. Hi, I am running the latest Armbian stable headless build with legacy kernel for a few weeks now without issue (tvheadend, cups, sane, shairplay-sync, pi-hole). Yesterday I added a dvb-c stick from sundtek which works pretty well. However, I noticed that only 1 USB port works (the one by itself). I can either connect the dvb-c stick or my printer/scanner. Attaching another device to either of the other 2 USB ports does not work... What am I missing?

I have usb 802.11b/g that works as i plug it in UBUNTU Desktop on ACER Laptop. works on Armbian for OPIPC but doesn't work on RetroPie PC. on Desktop it is working with RT2800usb driver. Chip itself is RT2070L. on Retropie PC, it is listed when I'd LSUSB. I'd tried to download .deb driver for it but unsuccessful. what's other options do i have?

Anyone with a full functionging Retro OrangePi on OPI PC using just analog out(NO HDMI)? Need to know what I'm missing. I use armbian 5.16 or 5.17 on my OPI-PC (I do not remember which of the two, I read Firmware: #14 from OPI-monitor). Hello, my orange pi pc has recently started to have reduced speeds. Where I used to get the full 100Mbit on lan, I now get around 30Mbit, be it sftp, samba, http. Speed flanctuates a bit but stays around the 30MBit so no big differences. I am able to write with consistent speeds of over 10MB/s on the microsd so that can't be the problem (using dd) and full ~30MB/s on the attached sata disk. uname -a Linux orangepipc 3.4.113-sun8i #10 SMP PREEMPT Thu Feb 23 19:55:00 CET 2017 armv7l GNU/Linux Any ideas what I can check?

As the title says, my OpiPC don't want to boot. It starts to boot, with UART console I can see u-boot loading and doing its job, but just when it would start the kernel the console gets borked with non-ascii characters. After this, the board just hangs there. I've tested with 3 different images (written out by Etcher), checked the images checksum and checked the SDcard with F3. This setup worked fine a month ago, when I last had the time to play with it. Since than, the board was just lying on my desk, turned off.

A few months ago I dried one of my OPiPC with a 12V power supply and I have not had a chance to try and revive it. So I am looking to migrate the existing 128GB sd card to a OPi Zero. From what I understand, the following would need to be done Mount the SD card (ideally on a linux BOX or VM) Replace script.bin with a suitable file Sync Eject Enjoy Can anyone confirm? Do I need to swap the kernel as well, or is it ok to keep the existing one? As for the script.bin, what's the best way to get one? Download an image and mount it, use fex2bin to generate one? Not sure if my keyboard is working in DESKTOP. Do I need to to install it? Though it is working in command prompt and retro. If not, how do I use it without a mouse? in Windows, you could tab/alt/spacebar/enter and etc but none of this works. Keyboard works in command prompt

Hi all, I'm a n00b e to the SBCs and linux I've bought my very first SBC:orange pi PC, and it arrived the day before after some struggling with the "connection refused" error (just resolve it by opening the remote login inside preference>sharing on my macOS 10.12) I finally enter the login screen, and use the command "ssh root@169.254.134.132" to my terminal it denied my password request I'm sure the password I've used is 1234, but whatever I used this, or restart my computer, using the desktop version, even changing other workable SD card, it still get the same result. Hello, I need your help to know if it's possible to dump an img to sdcard to make it's working android on my orange pi pc? For testing purpose i 'm linux man and i will say android is a piece of shiit if you ask me! I find an image from Beelink X2 and now i supose i 'm succes to unpack img to fex files... Hello, I have started on Armbian Ubuntu on a Orange Pi PC and have some difficults to follow the tiny font on the terminal emulator. In order to change the fontsize, I used the command "dpkg-reconfigure console-setup" and choosed the Terminus font with a bigger size. But no effect after reboot. With which trick a modification can be performed? What is with the fonts marked with "framebuffer"? If a modification is not possible with the Armbian terminal emulator, can I use an alternative? I have an orange pi pc Just installed debian When it comes up on my TV, I can't sell the first 3 characters of screen, and it runs below the bottom of the TV so I can't see the last line or so How do I fix?

From Zadors reply to I learned there is a Video Engine for Video, Mali for 3d and a Display Engine for 2d. I used an old version of armbian on OPi PC (h3disp had no 4k option) . Moving desktop windows was very fast. In current desktop release legacy 3.4.113 moving large windows is very slow. So I guess Display Engine is not working correctly. How can I determine if it works? Mainline version gives me no display at all. Thanks.

hi, i would like to make videos with a orange pi as basis and would like to start with this camera: which came with my pi. thought it would run out of the box...but it doesnt after looking trough the forums it is obvious that camera support seems to be quite problematic but i found this thread: where at the end the user: IgZero says that he got some camera (maybe not mine) working with 5.20 and then updating it to the current version. but he does not say if he started with a debian or ubuntu based source.... any ideas on how to get this camera going? im also willing to flash another, even older version of armbian to the sdcard. just need picture output.

Hello, I managed to run OPi as a media player using OpenELEC (works charmingly fast - much much better than on RasPi), bun on Armbian (legacy kernel - 3.4.113) something went not too good Firsty, I burn desktop Xenial image onto SD card, dropped into Orange, and everything worked fine besides sound via HDMI - even locally played MP3 files were stuttering, not mentioning Youtube in Chromium - CPU usage was in range of 30-40 percent. Sound in TV speakers were annoying- one second of music, long pause, repeated until I press stop button. So I gave up with Xenial, write a Jessie server image (also legacy kernel), installed XFCE with all recommended packages (including PulseAudio), managed volume controls to switch to HDMI sound output, getting the same behavior Anyone had a similar experiences about sound on Allwinner H3 devices?
