  1. I am amazed My NanoPi M4 2gb plays Assaultcube and Torcs so well for a $85 computer it is a great achievement. But I have some questions. If I have more than 2 Bots/ enemies in Assaultcube 1024 X 768 graphics setting good, it seems to slow down game play, Is this because the bots are limited to a single CPU thread? and would therefore work better on larger Intel single or dual chips? Is any one else playing Assaultcube what settings are you finding optimize the RK3399? Seasalt.
  2. Hi all, just fitted one of these Nanopi M4 SATA Hat and can't see how I can connect 4 drives as there is only one Molex connector - I'm probably being dumb - any help appreciated
  3. Here's some photos of my M4 with SATA hat and 4 SSD's in a drive case - all working beautifully
  4. I received one of these https://www.servercase.co.uk/shop/server-cases/rackmount-case-accessories/accessories-spare-parts/supermicro-cse-m14tqc-cse-m14tqc/ today to go with the Nanopi M4 SATa hat, it has a male Molex for input power, the SATA hat has a male Molex power outlet so I need a female to female Molex connector which I can't find anywhere - any ideas guys ?
  5. Hi all, thanks to you guys on here I now have a fully functioning 4 * SSD drive NanoPiM4 using the SATA hat. What I'd like to do now, is, place the drives in some sort of drive enclosure that would have 4 SATA data inputs and be powered by the molex on the hat. Is it possible and is there such an animal ?
  6. Greetings, I can't seem to find any documentation on how to access the only PWM port on the Nano M4 which happens to reside on the 2nd set of pins. It's listed as GPIO2 and the PWM pin is pin 23 which they label as GPIO_C6/PWM1(3V). SInce any documentation I find on GPIO has to do with the 40 pin port, how can I program the PWM using wiringPI-Python? I wonder why Nano chose to disregard the other PWM pins that other Raspberry Pi type boards retained like the Asus Tinkerboard. Or am I missing something? If so, can someone enlighten me as to how to access PWM on the Nano M4. Preferably using Python 3.

  8. hello everyone, i just received a new nano pi m4 4G with it's 13M camera module, the problem is that when i try to list the connected camera ls -lrth /dev/video* it shows only the usb cameras, does anyone knows how to get it working on armbian "Linux nanopim4 4.4.172-rk3399 #22 SMP Tue Jan 29 07:00:38 CET 2019 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux" thanks in advance
  9. Hi, I'm currently woking on transmitting image data by UART connection with the NanoPi M4, but I couldn't send data from '/dev/ttyS4', which is offered as for UART connection. I used pyserial in python to use UART but no change has been detected the pin #19 by the oscilloscope. Do I have to enable the UART somehow? If I can use UART with NanoPi M4, I would say this machine is so fantastic.
  10. Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to disable both LEDs on this board or, at least, the green (stat) one. Also I was trying to remove wifi completely and I can do: iwconfig wlan0 txpower off ifconfig wlan0 down systemctl disable wpa_supplicant But not sure if it's possible to remove the driver from the OS and what other unnecessary software I can remove. Thank you in advance.
  11. Hi - First let me say how gratefull I am for an Armbian version that works with my NanoPi M4 board! I am using the board as a web server and it is rock solid. My question is about the information that is displayed when I log in to my board using SSH. There is information about cpu temp, up time, etc. How is this information extracted and displayed? I am a Linux noob and I would like to understand how to get the cpu temp and other info to use at other times. Please help me as I am just starting out with SBC's. thanks---jb.
  12. Here I found a bug in Nanopi M4. When I download BitTorrent file through ipv6(use Transmission,qbittorent...),the network will crashed. And I even can't ping it successful. When I connect it in local.I don't see any log in the network service. And when I replace the network card(1000Mb) with a usb network card. The network work very good. And didn't appear any problem. I have try all the linux system include the office system. the problem happen again. So I only can use the usb network card or wifi. Does anyone who know how to solve the problem??? I would be very grateful for it. I noticed a same problem in firely board. if it is the same problem?? http://dev.t-firefly.com/thread-11741-2-1.html and he change the kernel in this way: &gmac { phy-supply = <&vcc_phy>; phy-mode = "rgmii"; clock_in_out = "input"; snps,reset-gpio = <&gpio3 15 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>; snps,reset-active-low; snps,reset-delays-us = <0 10000 50000>; assigned-clocks = <&cru SCLK_RMII_SRC>; assigned-clock-parents = <&clkin_gmac>; pinctrl-names = "default"; pinctrl-0 = <&rgmii_pins>; tx_delay = <0x28>; - rx_delay = <0x11>; + rx_delay = <0x1B>; status = "okay"; }; I don't know if it work. And I didn't know how to change it in the kernel files. I am poor in this work. I also find that the nanopi m4 use the st_gmac driver for eth0 1000m. And I'm sure it has some bug. When I use the usb card drvier for usb card.Every thing work good.
  13. I had backup all emmc of m4. after i restore the emmc. the two device have same mac address. eth0 and wlan0 all is same. how to change the mac address of wlan0? i try many way to change it. all don't work. i need some help i had try direct setting the Networking manager, to let it have random mac address. but don't work. i had try use /sbin/ifconfig to setting it, still don't work...
  14. Related to It looks like the problem's related to the USB autosuspend. Googling "xHCI host not responding to stop endpoint command." seems to say so. I've been trying to disable the USB autosuspend but no success. I followed all possible ways described in https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/91027/how-to-disable-usb-autosuspend-on-kernel-3-7-10-or-above and https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/usb/power-management.txt but $ cat /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend always returns 2 Board: NanoPi M4, 4GB with Armbian_5.65_Nanopim4_Debian_stretch_default_4.4.162.7z
  15. I just bought one NanoPi M4 on FriendlyArm Black friday, I was wondering if the Raspberry Pi Oficial 7" display works with the DSI connect on NanoPi M4?
  16. Hi armbian community, Does someone know, if it is possible to boot armbian from external ssd via usb using a NanoPi M4. If yes, is there somewhere a how-to? - I did not find anything so far about this topic. with best regards, newAB
