Greenhouse133456 Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Hi, I am trying to use a tinker board S as a Logitech Media Server for my multi room installation. The server runs well when streaming radio for a whole day or more. As soon as I start to stream music from the attached USB drive it stops after a few minutes for some seconds continuous then and stops again. After a few of this itterations it stops completely. I tryed to install all available server-OS. At the moment I run BIONIC. I looked in the LMS logs but found noothing. As I am new too this kind of topics I do not know how to find the issue. Can you point me in the right direction?

Greenhouse133456 Posted August 4, 2019 Author Posted August 4, 2019 the error as such has not been detected by the log. (http://ix.io/1QyE). I have not powered the USB drive externally as it has no connection and I do not own a powered USB hub. If this will be the reason, I have to buy one. Thanks for your support.

Greenhouse133456 Posted August 4, 2019 Author Posted August 4, 2019 Okay. But previously I had a Raspberry pi 3b+ and it worked fine with the same setup. The only issue with the pi was it could only serve one player at a time and I want to run multiple rooms in parallel. Just for your information, I use a 5V 3A power supply with the tinker board.
Greenhouse133456 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 I tried with powered USB-Hub. No change. Still after some time the music stops, continues and stops then completely.
Tido Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 when it stops try this command dmesg | tail -7 To see the last lines of the kernel log and post it here in the Code box // sent from mobile phone //

I would be able to start the play back again by jumping to the next title.
Greenhouse133456 Posted August 11, 2019 Author Posted August 11, 2019 I just tried the same setup but instead of connecting an USB storage with my music I connected the server to a NAS system which I run in my network. I works perfect. There seems to be a problem with the USB connection.
