Don Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Just started with Orange PI PC and I tried to use a KeDei LCD touchscreen V5, since I used with with my Raspberry Pi. Unfortunately the given driver (http://kedei.net/raspberry/raspberry.html) doesn't work with Armbian. Is there support in Armbian for this new (may 2016) LCD touchscreen or do I have to (re)compile the kernel myself? (not knowing where to begin...) Regards, Don
Melanrz Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Support this screen but need to by loaded from modules lika a modprobe syntax
wildcat_paris Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 @Don it seems Kedei only provides compiled modules for Rpi (it seems there is nothing for Arduino, they would need to provide the sources) https://github.com/saper-2/rpi-spi-lcd35-kedei https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=124961 the user says better look at a fbtft-compatible LCD https://github.com/notro/fbtft/wiki/LCD-Modules
Don Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 @Melanrz @wildcat_paris, Thx for the reply. Think I'll buy another screen. 1
