NahanniV Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Hi, I have been using the Aruntu 2.0 desktop for CubieTruck on my sailboat mainly to run an OpenSource charting program called OpenCPN. On Aruntu I was able to compile from source and it worked well. Aruntu is no longer supported, so I am trying to switch to ArmBian. I can compile on ArmBian, but OpenGLES is not found, so the program defaults to software OpenGL which is very slow. How can I install OpenGLES support, in order to use the hardware video accelleration ? Thanks, JM.
Igor Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Video acceleration works (tested) but OpenGLES is failing to compile so it's not included. I hope this will eventually be fixed but can't say when.
NahanniV Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 Any Idea if this will be fixed? Will the newer kernal ever be able to support OpenGLes ? Thanks, JM.
Igor Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 With this kernel it might work ... try. I will not deal with this at least for a while.

However, I no longer see the download link for the desktop version for Cubietruck ? Am I missing something ? Cheers, JM.
