jimbolaya Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 I'm running an OrangePi One. Having installed Armbian a while ago and gone through all the updates, I was wondering if there is any way to determine what equivalent release my installations are at. I noticed that 5.20 is out and some folks are talking about 5.21. I'm running Jessie. Also, for me to use a more recent version of Debian, I'm guessing I would have to build the image myself? Is that due to shortcomings in the 4.x kernels on the H3 platform? I've done some digging and it seems like many (most) things are working right on the 4.x kernels? Thank you James
Igor Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Most of things are updated via classic apt-get update method but some might fall out. If everything is working fine, don't bother with fresh reinstall. Kernel 4.x for H3 boards is working but is not yet ready for end users since some important things are missing. It's available within our repository ... try at your own risk -> serial console only at the moment, no thermal protection, no audio, ...
