Hi there,

I'd like to understand the best way to handle updates on Armbian…

My OS is:

odroid ) uname -a
Linux odroidxu4 5.4.225-odroidxu4 #22.11.1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Nov 30 10:55:16 UTC 2022 armv7l GNU/Linux
odroid ) lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID:	Debian
Description:	Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye)
Release:	11
Codename:	bullseye

And APT says:

The following packages have been kept back:
  linux-dtb-current-odroidxu4 linux-headers-current-odroidxu4
  linux-image-current-odroidxu4 linux-u-boot-odroidxu4-current

The habits tell me to update however the experience taught that I could breaking something, some packages are on hold for a  goodreason...

What do you recommend?

Thanks in advance 🙏

Just additional measure to divide kernel and user land packages update. If you want to update kernel packages go to armbian-config -> system -> unfreeze (freeze back after) ... do update & upgrade.
