Orange Pi OS - Keeps starting apps windowed and can't hide bar at top of screen

Hello all! In Orange Pi OS latest image all works well EXCEPT it keeps launching apps in a stupid bordered window that has a huge obnoxious bar at the top with 2 absolutely useless buttons, a window to full screen option and the X button

 

How do I hide this stupid thing? It's blocking the whole top of my screen and cutting off part of my TiviMate
