odroidn2+, Armbian 23.5 Jammy XFCE: install firefox fail

Recommended Posts

Odroidn2+ with eMMC card flashed with latest Armbian 23.5 Jammy XFCE (Armbian_23.5.1_Odroidn2_jammy_current_6.1.30_xfce_desktop)

Having issue installing firefox. Chromium was already installed properly.

During the installation of firefox, the system remains waiting for something.

I'm not sure about your odroid, but I'm trying on a Cubox-I with 1 gb of ram, and I think it may just not fit anymore.  I'll have to hunt around for a light alternative, I guess.

Meantime, in your case 2gb is probably only runnable barely.  I get memory hangs from things on Firefox go south on 4gb desktops.

It's all just gotten out of hand these days.  Especially now with it being a snap denizen.

thanks

Jim
