Björn Eiríksson Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 I am having trouble installing Armbian on the NVMe drive Orange Pi 5 plus. I tried sudo armbian-install But it will never list the nvme drive there. lsblk clearly can see the drive as is seen in the image bellow? Does anyone have any idea how I am supposed to do this. Thanks 0 Quote
NicoD Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 @Björn EiríkssonYou need to create a partition on the NVMe for it to work. I think that might be the issue. 0 Quote
Björn Eiríksson Posted July 12, 2023 Author Posted July 12, 2023 My attempts made no longer do anything on the SD card so no more boot at all. 0 Quote
Björn Eiríksson Posted July 12, 2023 Author Posted July 12, 2023 Got it back to booting and partitined the NVM-e but armbian install still wont see it. 0 Quote
Björn Eiríksson Posted July 12, 2023 Author Posted July 12, 2023 I got it finally to copy. But if removing the SD card and attempting to boot only from the NVMe then it boots into BusyBox only. (further more then if trying to install the Display driver listed with the Armbian for Orange Pi 5 on Orange Pi 5 plus then system will no longer boot). 0 Quote
Werner Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 Cannot reproduce. First thing I did when I received mine was install on NVMe. So verified working. As NicoD mentioned there needs to be a partition created on the nvme beforehand, then armbian-install detects it. Select boot from MTD and let it flash SPI which takes a while. After power off remove sd and power on again. Boots. 0 Quote
