Fabricio Martínez Tamayo Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 (edited) Have an incident where I tried installing a newer kernel in an nvme working setup and the device wont post. My original installation flash card is working but is giving me problems. So I got 2 others and attempted to boot new version of the image and Im getting no post. I was able to solve my original problem by installing a legacy version in flash and copying /boot over to nvme. I also attempted rebuilding the mme partitions with no success. But it seems that there is something not working right with kernel 6.7. Edited November 30, 2023 by Fabricio Martínez Tamayo 0 Quote
Werner Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 mainline support for rk3588 is still to be considered experimental and problems are to be expected. This is bleeding edge. If you want a mostly stable system use legacy 5.10.y 0 Quote
Eternalight7 Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 Is there going ro be a way to do a 5.1 to 6.1 upgrade when 6.1 bsp comes out of wip status? 0 Quote
Werner Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 Maybe. The next step would be to bump to rkr7.1 which is 5.10.198 I think and then sometimes after 6.1 might be an option. 0 Quote
