Hello, sorry if this has been answered somewhere else. I was just wondering how i upgrade my Orange Pi 5 running Arbmian 23.11.1 Bookworm w/ Linux 5.10.160-legacy-rk35xx to the latest Kernel.

I tried using `sudo armbian-config` and updating via that with kernel upgrades unfrozen but it doesn't seem to work. Is there something I'm missing?

Startup splash below:

5.10.160 is rockchip bsp kernel with some patches from Armbian on top. The version does not increase for this one and probably never will.

The only thing what you could do is to switch to bleeding edge mainline kernel which at this very moment is shipped in version 6.7-rc1.

If you prefer a system that is mostly stable and also supports most hardware features I recommend to stay with 5.10.160.

6.7-rc1 does not boot when flashed over.  Any thoughts as to why.

Edit: Spooky, on Ambian discord, said that 6.1 BSP is a Work in Progress.  So I guess we have to wait.

I'm waiting for my usb-ttl serial dongle to come in. I'll post here if I find the answer to the no boot question.
