farmwald Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 I can't get the ubuntu gui desktop to use the entire 2160p screen - it only uses 1/4 (1080p upper left rectangle.) The settings menu for display is locked to 1080p. I've searched and there are explanations as to how to set boot.ini to get 2160p (which works) but the ubuntu desktop won't use the full screen. What do I need to do to get a full screen GUI display? Thanks.
farmwald Posted May 25, 2017 Author Posted May 25, 2017 Thanks, that worked. Why don't 24 or 32 bpp work correctly? (Actually I didn't test 32bpp, but I'm assuming it fails in the same way as 24.)
Igor Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 Don't know exactly - I found this at hardkernel forums. I would suspect it's related to memory reservation or we are hitting the limit. 4K is on the edge what's possible to get out from this chip.
