Ahmet Emin Koçal Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Hello, My Opi+2 somehow blocks internet when i turn it on. Even though it is not connected on ethernet port. Then i disabled wifi. Everything seemed fine at first, but as because of i need internet and the wifi is disabled, i had to use ethernet port. When i plug ethernet cable to the opi+2, the modem's internet connection drops. I don't have any ideas about why it is happening. Here is the modem log: Spoiler Jan 1 00:00:08 syslog emerg BCM96345 started: BusyBox v1.17.2 Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon notice kernel: Linux version 2.6.30 (root@localhost.localdomain) (gcc version 4.4.2 (Buildroot 2010.02-git) ) #4 Wed Jun 15 15:00:07 CST 2016 Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon warn kernel: HS Serial flash device: name MX25L64, id 0xc217 size 8192KB Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon warn kernel: 96318REF prom init Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon info kernel: CPU revision is: 00029033 (Broadcom BCM3302) Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon warn kernel: DSL SDRAM reserved: 0xc0000 Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon info kernel: Determined physical RAM map: Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon info kernel: memory: 01f40000 @ 00000000 (usable) Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon warn kernel: Zone PFN ranges: Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon warn kernel: DMA 0x00000000 -> 0x00001000 Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon warn kernel: Normal 0x00001000 -> 0x00001f40 Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon warn kernel: Movable zone start PFN for each node Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon warn kernel: early_node_map[1] active PFN ranges Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon warn kernel: 0: 0x00000000 -> 0x00001f40 Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon debug kernel: On node 0 totalpages: 8000 Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon debug kernel: free_area_init_node: node 0, pgdat 8038f010, node_mem_map 81000000 Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon debug kernel: DMA zone: 32 pages used for memmap Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon debug kernel: DMA zone: 0 pages reserved Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon debug kernel: DMA zone: 4064 pages, LIFO batch:0 Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon debug kernel: Normal zone: 31 pages used for memmap Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon debug kernel: Normal zone: 3873 pages, LIFO batch:0 Jan 1 00:00:08 daemon warn kernel: Built 1 zonelists in Zone order, mobility grouping on. gnasch Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 Hi I did not really understand your network setup. Maybe describe it? Is this the "two interfaces on the same subnet problem?" In this case see here: https://forum.armbian.com/index.php?/topic/2907-opi-zero-incoming-ssh-cant-connect/& or do you have some "cable modem" which could be bound to the MAC Address of the connected interface? Difficult to see from here. best, gnasch
Ahmet Emin Koçal Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 The problem is, when i power the Opi+2, somehow it makes the modem disconnect from the internet. The DSL connection drops. I added wifi chip driver to "blacklist" but it didn't work. The modem is: https://www.google.com.tr/search?q=vmg3312+b10b&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiTvfblzsXUAhVKUlAKHZCOAeoQ_AUIBigB&biw=1366&bih=662#imgrc=IE2PwhVsI5KYcM: And I also tried to use a different modem which is "Airties Air 5440" but it didn't work too. If you think you can help, you can keep asking more questions. It seems my opi has been turned to a DSL jammer.
Ahmet Emin Koçal Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 Hi, i have freshly installed the newest Armbian again and it seems the problem is fixed. But i am not really sure yet, please wait for my incoming reply. BTW i can send you any file you want to investigate what caused this problem. And it was veery quirky.
