Guest Mike
Hey, just one short question. Will there be an armbian bulid with mainline kernel (or called vanilla kernel like for the R1) für OPi PC in near future?
tkaiser
Will there be an armbian bulid with mainline kernel (or called vanilla kernel like for the R1) für OPi PC in near future? Sure, we're waiting for some Ethernet and THS related fixes. If you know what you're doing (overheating is an issue) then you can try our build system to produce mainline kernel images already or start reading post #8 here (Armbian 5.07 vanilla image for BPi M2+, 3 months old, by exchanging device tree stuff Ethernet works on the Fast Ethernet equipped devices as outlined in the post, nearly everything works except of THS/throttling)

gnasch
Hello Tkaiser, could you please elaborate a bit on these THS fixes? about 2 month ago i read in the forums that they had been submitted to the kernel. Are they somehow waiting for somebody to accept them or how does this work? thanks, gnasch

IKEA has a nice one with 3 USB-plugs, around € 9.- and with Amps up to 2,5 or 3. By accident I came across this brilliant review, if you start from the begin he explains about the short comings of PSU and if you start at 4min it is just about the IKEA PSU. At the very end you find his conclusion
