Joey Gehring Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 So my boss deploys a plethora of Asus TInkerboards to assist with production. We are currently using an OS image provided to us by this website---specifically, Ubuntu_xenial_next_desktop.7z. On some occasions, with kick ass access points, the tinkers will disconnect from the wireless network that we are using. We are also using an antennae attachment which seems to help a bit with connection issues. Without providing too much specific info, is there an updated driver being worked on somewhere that I could be pointed towards? Any info/words of wisdom would be very helpful! Thank you! Best regards and thanks in advance! Joey
Xalius Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Hi, do you have any logs you can provide from one of the Tinkerboards? While RTL8723BS is not the most stellar of wifi chipsets, the Armbian tweaks to it's default config usually work quite well...
Igor Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Perhaps this is related? https://github.com/armbian/build/commit/1599e074fbd5a5851a6384cb4f619c63dcdb70e3 Build passes - need testing.

As soon as I have one of the boards get kicked off again I will send logs that I collect. Good news is that we are not having as much trouble today. I will keep you all updated! Thanks!!!
