freak Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 We have so much trouble with wifi disconnects on around 30 tinkerboards. I'd be happy to donate to someone who works on the wifi to address the issues. Does anyone know where to go to to ask for help?
Igor Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 On which kernel you have those problems? armbianmonitor -u
freak Posted February 8, 2018 Author Posted February 8, 2018 I just built this image to see if it is any better...
TonyMac32 Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Let me know, it has a newer driver, also the mainline images are still another driver revision. (Older, but has been given a lot of attention)
freak Posted February 12, 2018 Author Posted February 12, 2018 We have this out on about 4-5 boards. With the mainline we would get disconnects and nothing would make them reconnect without a reboot. With this test image we can now reconnect with the applet versus rebooting. But we still get plenty of random disconnections.
freak Posted February 12, 2018 Author Posted February 12, 2018 But my question still remains... Is there someone I can go to talk with the wifi driver maintainer?
MB2 Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 i have the same problem, the wifi works for a lot of days and sometime disconnects. restart networkmanager or reconfig the wifi do not work, only a reboot works for me. as workaorund i have pluged in an usb wifi dongle and hope this connection is stable. my monitor output http://ix.io/NDw
freak Posted February 22, 2018 Author Posted February 22, 2018 Same thing for us but once we starting using the new kernel listed above we were able to reconnect without rebooting. They still disconnect like crazy. I think it has something to do with roaming.
