JMCC Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Just as the title says, what would be a good recommendation for a mSATA to USB3 enclosure? I have seen these two that look interesting: https://www.amazon.de/Salcar-Aluminium-Festplattengehäuse-Datenkabel-Silber/dp/B01D9KX9UA https://www.amazon.de/ELUTENG-Externes-Festplatten-Enclosure-Datenkabel/dp/B06XCND4YT Any experience with them? Any other recommendation? @tkaiser any good/bad experience with this kind of enclosures?
Igor Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Do you know which chip is used? I assume they used the same chips like in normal 2.5/3.5 SATA enclosures. Check here which are good and bad: http://linux-sunxi.org/USB/UAS https://forum.armbian.com/topic/1925-some-storage-benchmarks-on-sbcs/
JMCC Posted June 2, 2018 Author Posted June 2, 2018 I could not find info about the chip in the ones I posted above, but I found this one hat has JMicron JMS578 (the same chip as Odroid HC1): https://www.amazon.es/Soporte-Eletrand-Aluminio-Enclosure-Adaptador/dp/B01N7RQ0BE/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1527954989&sr=1-4-fkmr0&keywords=eletrand+msata+usb+3 So I guess this is going to be my choice. Thanks!
