jiapei100 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 I installed Armbian_5.59_Bananapipro_Ubuntu_bionic_next_4.14.65 onto my Banana Pi Pro. However, there is Internet for now. $ip address gives me the following messages: 1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000 link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever inet6 ::1/128 scope host valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever 2: eth0: <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state DOWN group default qlen 1000 link/ether 02:86:02:42:2f:4e brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff 3. wlan0: <NO-CARREIR,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc fq_codel state DOWN group default qlen 1000 link/ether 98:3b:16:e9:79:43 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff It looks like this version of Ubuntu does NOT come with a suitable driver for Banana Pi Pro? I even modified /etc/network/interfaces to # Network is managed by Network manager auto lo iface lo inet loopback #Wifi auto wlan0 iface wlan0 inet static address 192.168.0.82 netmask 255.255.255.0 network 192.168.0.0 broadcast 192.168.0.1 gateway 192.168.0.1 dns-nameservers 192.168.0.1 8.8.8.8 wpa-ssid XXXXXXXX wpa-psk YYYYYYYY Have NO idea what to do now... Should I build the network driver from scratch? But, which driver is it? Anyway, please give me some suggestions? Have a nice day. Pei
