Yesterday I have installed Armbian to my 3-years-old banana-m1 (previosly ran on bananian 16.04 with 4.4.66 kernel)

Tiday I have installed rtorrent and tried to download 44 gb file using rtorrent (with lot of seeders). Few minutes, and I got massive bunch of errors

[11583.126199] blk_partition_remap: fail for partition 2
[11583.126314] blk_partition_remap: fail for partition 2
...

[11583.136689] blk_partition_remap: fail for partition 2

and USB drive reconnected in ro mode.

Then I remount drive, started torrent again  and exactly same issue, USB drive disconnected.

USB drive connected with external power.

This is my system: http://ix.io/1pQZ (yours is unknown). I was stressing my Banana M1 (this one) + USB Hub + 128GB SSD for some time and there is not a single glitch in the log. Currently downloading torrents:
debian-9.5 DVD1,2,3 and a few Ubuntus at around 10MB/s + stressing more on the way, creating large files, ...

Diff: I used self build image and transmission, which is one click install from armbian-config. I seriously doubt there is a problem in kernel and that was fixed in last few weeks (switching to nightly will give you the same version and you can try that).

Can't reproduce, nothing wrong with Armbian.

Yes, with Transmission downloading started and finished without any issues, but - limited to about 10 MB/s

While rTorrent downloading in about 18-20 MB/s. Right now I have set download speed limit for rtorrent to prevent disconnects.

I haven't seen more than 15MB/s on any other machine as well. It should go up to 30MB/s but my router can't. Since I don't really care about the download speed ... I did various stress test as well.

You can further experiment with other kernels if that makes any diff.  Use latest https://github.com/armbian/config - I added this today, that you can try going back with the kernel (to 4.11.y) and quickly see if changing kernel has any effect on this. You can also try DEV kernel (4.18.y).

Looks like USB drive is broken. Today at night banana reboted and starts to reboot again and again seconds after boot till I disconnected usb drive physically.
