SoNic67
I have just flashed the Armbian Stretch mainline kernel 4.14.y. While booting, connected to a HDMI TV/monitor, I can see the start-up text lines initializing various things and at some point (I think it is "starting kernel"), the display gets heavily corrupted with horizontal lines then it switches to a blank screen. The TV displays that it's a 1080p60Hz mode (should be compatible with the display). Any ideas? https://youtu.be/n4-TSFzBgO4
Igor
How long do you wait?
SoNic67
Oh, I have waited one minute and something appeared in the top-left corner. But is so much overscan that I think didn't noticed it initially.
Igor
OK, overscan ... try to fix on TV, while on the board is a bit complicated and I am not sure it still works. https://docs.armbian.com/Hardware_Allwinner/#how-to-reconfigure-video-output
SoNic67
I have played with the TV zoom back and forth and I left it as it was on "Full". However, instead of "TV" I have chosen "PC"... and now it works. Thanks!
