Armbian Tinkerboard Polish desktop language

Hi 

 

I have a problem with change desktop language from en to polish. I tryed all solutions armbian-config , dpkg-reconfigure locales, export LANG. 

After reboot I got english desktop and locale info

Ok I will check again 

 

but 

 

if i export

export LANG=pl_PL.UTF-8 and use locale command for display 

i got LANG=pl_PL.UTF-8 but after restart

i got LANG=

 

maybe needs to remove something

I checked all as you wrote

locale command generate LANG=PL, LANGUAGE=PL, LC=PL but desktop is english still

Hi,

 

probably too late. But I was handling same problem (for czech language).

I had to setup LC_ALL variable in /etc/default/locale. For some reason XFCE is showing interface based on this value. I did not do any more research, it just worked.

 

My config:

cat /etc/default/locale 
#  File generated by update-locale
LANG=cs_CZ.UTF-8
LC_MESSAGES=cs_CZ.UTF-8
LANGUAGE=cs_CZ.UTF-8
LC_ALL=cs_CZ.UTF-8
