the beta automatical build for Pinebook boots u-boot, then kernel, but in kernel is something messed up (the LCD shutdowns after few second of kernel booted), but I will try to fix it, to have "dev" support too
We need to sort that out, 4.19.y is only interesting on this Pinebook. Remove all but https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/master/patch/kernel/sunxi-dev/general-packaging-4.17-dev.patch and try ... than add patch by patch. I have no idea which is breaking this ATM. -

Other bugs:
- USB serial doesn't work
- Kernel boot console is missing
It's not working anywhere. Kernel console is going to HDMI by default unless we have a strictly no HDMI board.DVFS is working.
Thanks!

We use stock Debian/Ubuntu SSH settings and only keys are being recreated at 1st boot. Without armbianmonitor -u there is little I can tell.

Moved to SD card troubles section. Very little chances that this problem has anything to do with Armbian.

Igor's 2do list is long, very long and I have nobody to ask to do that instead of me.
This is a few months faster way: https://www.armbian.com/get-involved and with bigger certainty that this feature gets implemented. Overlay repo: https://github.com/armbian/sunxi-DT-overlays

the same trouble
How is the same? I am producing images every day (not exactly for Nanopi duo but still) and haven't seen any troubles. -

The packaging script on 4.14 still needs adjusted to boot 4.14
I looked (quickly) into and its working for me OOBDon't understand what is wrong? How to reproduce?

@belfastraven @Andeli H6 will probably remain in a development/testing phase for another few months while others support is matured and they have minor issues at worse.

Sorry, the device is our new product, No brand and model, use the H6 chip.
Why should your product be our problem and expense? -

There is already patch in armbian and it's working now
Just need to enable dts sound section
Good! Than we better make an overlay https://github.com/armbian/sunxi-DT-overlays that it can be enabled/disabled in armbian-config or via armbianEnv.txt -

Should network manager automatically modify dnsmasq.conf ?
I overlooked and I though you have used our tool to make AP:
For the way you want to make it, I never tried and I think you should look into the manual if exists. It's a generic problem unrelated to Armbian.

As an Armbian newbie and in the hope for improvement on WIFI for Olimex Teres-1 i tried to test the update on my system.
I was playing yesterday with Teres 1 and at least wifi worked ... try hard reboot and without having anything attached to the USB.If you can, build a complete new image.Wait for new patches - i have to push them up. -
I was trying to use this eMMC today (SD cards boots 4.14.y and 4.19.y OOB) and I am getting a bit confused ... Is DDing from X to Y prevent starting Android and we can boot this way from SD card ... and then installing Armbian to eMMC? Is that not working or what?

Hi,
I would like to run my NanoPi M4 from an external USB3 SSD.
Does anybody know if the images here:
http://wiki.friendlyarm.com/wiki/index.php/NanoPi_M4#Work_with_FriendlyCore
Will work? Or are they specifically for SD or eMMC?
If they won't work, how do I modify to make it work?
Many thanks!
M
Without eMMC/SD card as boot device its not possible. Not Armbian and not their builds.
Armbian works out of the box. Just do your homework: https://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Getting-Started/ -

Both located under git repo?
Of course. Have you try by the book 1st?:
apt-get -y install git git clone https://github.com/armbian/build cd build ./compile.sh

Hello,
which Folder does compile.sh use for storage?
My build system has two partitions and my "/" is running full when building armbian.
Thanks
Stefan
It creates subdirectory cache (sources, tools, ..) and output (debs, images, debug, ...) -

Sure. But seems a bit strange that published linux-headers would be built on another machine than the one that build the kernel. Just for the sake of consistency.
I am only interested in solving this problem in general - if I find some time. Until then it's in users domain.32 minutes ago, gprovost said:I mean something that we can help contributing ?
Repository https://github.com/armbian/upload shows which packages are in the repository. You upload them in the same location as they come from the build script and script do the rest. This service is as is. I am not changing MO. I can only stop doing this. -

You can't request to every user to go build their own armbian image
Why should I solve every problem that pops out?? Solving this problem requires costly manual intervention(s) or costly coding to limit manual interventions. None of that is available.
It is frustrating indeed.49 minutes ago, gprovost said:could you please push in the armbian repo the latest mvebu-next headers ?
Anyone (trustworthy) can prepare it:
https://github.com/armbian/uploadand start to take care of this problem in general.

And this is clean image from the download section I guess?
Have you tried apt update &T upgrade and then armbian-config again? -

armbian-config fails with a message "There are no targets. Please check your drives".
I don't see anything wrong. Neo doesn't have eMMC and there is nothing on the USB port. -

That is strange. Please provide:
armbianmonitor -u
Here is my 8TB attached to, well, true SATA ... but that is irrelevant.

I would like to speak out a wish.
This board is not officially supported which should be clear from the information on the download page. Why is not supported? Because we already waste too much of very limited resources on a support which "you" cover <1%. This is community service and "you" have way way more wishes that available resources can cover.
You are on your own if you need certain changes. Since board exists in our builds system: https://github.com/armbian/build this is very simple.https://www.armbian.com/get-involved/
... and I will be glad to help you.

Still requires alternative_fw_path=ap6330, but I think it is could be reasonable to put it into a .conf file in /etc/modules.d
That's one option. Another is to adjust path in kernel sources, like this: https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/master/patch/kernel/rk3399-default/adjust_wireless_firmware_path.patch

Good news is that everything looks O.K. and bad news is that I have no idea why this is so. It must have been some upstream change. Let's wait for others input.
