  1. Perhaps this information will be useful here. Ready-made Armbian images are available for quick launch on Renegade Elite by regular users.
  2. The new version 20200423. Added support for the Renegade Elite model (from SD card). Added support for audio output via the Jack 3.5 analog output on RockPI 4B.
  3. Try not deleting the patch, but increasing this value to the old values (snps,reset-delays-us = <0 10000 1000000>;) reset-deassert-us = <30000>; to reset-deassert-us = <1000000>;
  4. Write more about the system in question.
  5. Good news. I added a u-boot file for the Renegade Elite model (rk3399) to the site for use with universal images and easy writing on any PC, including Windows (as it is done for other models). I am currently testing new images and will upload them to the site soon.
  6. Put the Panfrost module in the blocklist, it has an error on this model with this core.
  7. ... and then throw this shit in the trash (for this kind of money, it will be outright trash). This chip is not supported. Most models have different problems and don't work as they should. RK have good support, if you do not try to buy known junk from unknown sources. And here is an error, if you use proven models-the installation in eMMC works perfectly. And after installing Armbian or Libreelec in eMMC, you get the ability to run other systems from USB media (this applies to RK and AW). Yes, if you make a full backup and save it before installing to eMMC.
  8. This copy doesn't make sense, and it won't help you recover after running the installation procedure in eMMC. p211 -> s905x
  9. u-boot has nothing to do with this. Most likely, before starting the installation in eMMC, the source system on external media was not configured correctly (DTB is used not from the image, with manual copying). Or other changes were made to the installation procedure. Show the content (uEnv.txt) from eMMC.

    Question. Does someone have sound running through the 3.5 analog output on the kernel 5 ?
  11. UART log and output of printenv commands. If you don't know why it was done this way, it's better not to write and make erroneous conclusions.
  12. Checked the launch time on other RK3399, Yes, the delay problem was resolved. Now on RK3399, the system starts as fast as before.
  13. I don't have such hardware, this DTB is provided by another user. You need to contact him. And the best solution is to send all patches directly to the main kernel.
  14. The direction of your thought is correct. Do not waste time on answers for people when they do not understand the essence of the question. PS I Recommend that those who ask questions, think about why the manufacturer of RPi4, to reduce the wild temperature of their model, recommends disabling output in 4K format and so on.
  15. Contact the manufacturer of the equipment.
  16. Carefully read the all first message from beginning to end.
  17. Links to placement in the first message of this topic.
  18. Now I started checking the latest image on RockPI 4 (RK3399) and found that starting from a USB flash drive works fast (there is no longer a long timeout when unpacking uInitrd). Perhaps I made a mistake, please check on the available RK3399.
  19. You are mistaken, when using the latest armbian-TV 20.05 images (please note, not just take the core, but use a specially assembled and configured image), the HDMI sound works on all models of RK AW AML. SPDIF output I don't check (I don't have such hardware) @Beppe @jeanrhum Do not clog the topic, do not profile discussions - in a personal account, or in a separate topic. Your messages will be removed from this topic.
