The only difference i can find is Mesa 22.2.3 (manjaro) Rasterization: Hardware accelerated on all pages Mesa 23.0.0-devel (armbian) Rasterization: Hardware accelerated Chromium pick up the gpu/vpu. But Not for Video Decode.

a universal truth: you are sharing the same idea: Mali Gpu + mesa Drivers, can you play a youtube video on chromium without CPU? my only question now, this Video Player acceleration on ARK (manjaro) is a patch for Chromium or it`s a patch for Driver?

Fom Armbian Gnome Kernel 6.0.10 HW acceleration is working! Just Swith From Ubuntu X11 to Ubuntu Wayland. But, video acceleration, i think it`s VP9 on browser dont work. chrome://gpu/ Driver Section from Chrome

Debian Wayland Desktop to Mali SBC's are hard to find, people always compile Xfce, but a Big gnome with gpu acceleration is always fast than a Tiny Xfce on CPU. i see no advantage on x11 desktop for Mali devices since GTK can import legacy x11. i'm downloading Armbian Gnome with Kernel 6.0.y, will repport things here.

i feel like we missed some detail in debian, I don't see 3D performance difference from android here in this ARK i see Mesa drivers on debian, but is it enabled by default? i think Regular users dont know how to link new drivers to sys. From Manjaro Rock 3A 22.10 chrome://gpu/ Driver Section:

@jernej i think we can find something on manjaro, Debian Wayland and chromium are way too slow than ARK Linux... mozilla feels the same on both... no acceleration.

Hello @Clericer Today i was Testing Armbian on Radxa Rock 3A. Mali gpu I still can't play videos on Armbian "kernel 5.19" and "6.01" But, Ark Linux Manjaro ARM releases a patched 22.10 version of Radxa Rock 3A and it contains all patches for Mali working great for desktop environment. I tested this and it worked great, too bad I'm a debian user. i think this topic brings the Bifrost GPU to linux can we translate it to debian? @balbes150

andy.yan@rock-chips.com start to patch the RK3566 boards i think this board will be supported by kernel 6.1 give it a try!

@mvpwar i think you need to recompile it, to change DTB and DTS Files. Change the boot img, parameter txt and the miniLiader bin before create the update img on SDK

@mvpwar i think i know what is happend here. is something i make to solve "swiotlb buffer is full" errors i set the kernel memory to 4gb to make the iommu stop address "2⁶⁴" 64bit this kernel trik Stop buffer overflow errors and memory leak you can change it to 8gb i'm searching here how to change it EDIT: i did this You can limit the amount of RAM the kernel addresses by adding this to boot parameters: mem=4096M i make it via DTS File Before compile rk3566-quartz64-a.dts i make this change to rk3566-quartz64-a.dtb you can change it and debug, if it doesnt work you can reflash the update image again to repair rk3566-quartz64-a.dtb

@tmm1 Please Share the "T95 PLUS DTSI" File i think that you can make it work on Armbian standart.

@mvpwar after backup into linux, to flash the Linux distro inside the box i use a Windows computer The image Type is "UPDATE IMG" is easy to handle on windows Just Flash the whole firmware.img This tutorial is from the Rock 3a i'm working on https://wiki.radxa.com/Rock/flash_the_image but it works on h96 max The linux filesystem used on this project is different from original android filesystem

@tmm1 Usually these pins are close to the EMMC some manufacturers put a small "CLK" and "GND" writing next to the EMMC or on the other side of the board

@tmm1 T95 is a much easier box to work with as it is more widespread among users, I have already tried their firmware, very incompatible. UART TTL debug needs to be soldered on board pins RX-TX and TX-RX, GND-GND. RUPA 4GB RK3566 makes me fell X88 Pro 20 Rk3566 i'm runing jellyfin and nextcloud at H96 MAX V56 RK3566 Kernel 4.19 SATA3 Devices at Full speed on USB3 HUB, Gigabit Ethernet, I dont need HDMi on this device and i dont expect full GPU acceleration with this. it's fine to a 60U$ TV box to run as proxy / data / DNS service. Rk3566 run Kernel 5, you just need to translate the device tree, look at the quartz64a and firefly station P2, M2.

@tmm1 currently the execution takes place via iommu and not with memory allocation. to use memory allocation via CMA DMA, you need to disable the iommu framework. and that's a job for another, I don't intend to spend another 30 days on this development. DTS structure: set NPU set Power domain to NPU iommu NPU

@tmm1 can you translate the kernelconfig and DTS to kernel 5 from original kernel 4?
