  1. There is something really wierd going on, I installer lightdm and configured it as per instructions in the getting started guide. However, when I reboot the usual XFCE desktop comes up but behind it is the login screen. I can access it through a "hole" in the wallpaper, and if I log in I have two identical desktops running, slightly misaligned. So it looks to me that the XFCE desktop startup is hardcoded somewhere or the startup script is not placed the usual place where the config script(s) can modify it. I'd like to know where the scripts that starts all the madness is located so I can edit them, or if there is another way to get rid of the initial desktop that overlays everything else. I also tried to install MATE and it ends up under the top desktop.
  2. Thanks, any idea when that will be? I'm thinking of transferring the system to internal memory but I'll hold off until the new release if that is imminent
  3. Forgive e if this is a stupid question (I'm pretty new to this stuff, only worked with mainframes in the old days and Windows before I retired) but how do we include this fix, will there be an update package, a patch or a new release? I understand the wifi fix is not "consumer ready" just yet?
  4. Anyone please? Or is there an image with Mate I can download??
  5. Can someone give me a quick HowTo on how to change to Mate desktop? (ultimately I wanted Cinnamon but I understand it cannot run on ARM since there is no HW acceleration for it)
  6. Ok thanks, I have an usb soundcard attached and it worked before I did an upgrade, does that sound familiar?
  7. I downloaded the Armbian 5.20 image today, it boots fine on my MX2 (serial X2H3C... the rest is blurred) but when I do the echo trick it freezes after giving "Internal error: Oops: 5 [31] PREEMPT SWP ARM. Do I need another driver module?
