Bananarama Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Hi, just got a Nanopi R5C (waiting for an RPi for more than a year, yet...) but I couldn't find any headless images for this little box. There's an official debian-image available running LDXE, but open media vault isn't able to run on an Desktop linux... Any chances there will be support for the Nano Pi R5C / Rockchip RK3568B2? btw: can't choose R5C or just 'others' from the drop-down when creating a new post... 0 Quote

NicoD Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 @BananaramaYou can always try to uninstall the desktop to see if that works. sudo apt remove lxde sudo apt purge lxde sudo apt autoremove I think that should do it. I don't use OMV anymore. So no idea if it works on desktop image. Not sure if/when Armbian will support this device. It is a nice one. But they make so many that it is hard to support them all. 0 Quote
Bananarama Posted January 15, 2023 Author Posted January 15, 2023 What a pity....didn't work wget -O - https://github.com/OpenMediaVault-Plugin-Developers/installScript/raw/master/install | sudo bash results in: This system is running a desktop environment! Please use a Lite version of the image or do not choose to install a desktop environment. This install is not supported. Search the forum for more info - https://forum.openmediavault.org Exiting... Why aren'T you using OMV anymore? 0 Quote
