Problems with HK1 s905x3 box

Hi.  I can't boot my HK1 S905X3 1000m box 4GB 32GB.  I've tried many dtbs, u-boots, and releases.   I've attached a copy of the picture of the box I have.  I've tried these releases, among others.

I renamed u-boot-s905x2-s922 to u-boot.ext.  I changed the DTB in extlinux.conf.  I've tried fdt /dtb/amlogic/meson-sm1-hk1box-vontar-x3.dtb among many others.

I can't get Armbian to boot.  I wind up at Android Recovery (the fallen Android guy).

I've tried to boot from sdcard and USB drive.  SD card boot loops and the USB drive sends me to Android recovery.

I've tried flashing the box to many different firmwares.

I can boot to Coreelec from sdcard but Armbian does not boot.

After booting Coreelec, just to make sure I could boot from another OS, I flash the box with stock firmware again.

I just don't know what I'm doing wrong.  I could swear I had Armbian running on this box before.  Any help would be appreciated.

Never mind.   I got it to boot.  I used /dtb/amlogic/meson-sm1-h96-max-x3.dtb and u-boot-x96maxplus.bin.  This is the image I used:

Armbian_23.05.0_amlogic_s905x3_bullseye_6.1.27_server_2023.05.12.img

I first was able to boot using slarm (Slack Arm) for the X96 Max+

https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?p=6428039#post6428039

That got me to try the x96maxplus u-boot.  I'm not sure if booting slarm did something to the box or if it was just a matter of using the right u-boot.  Either way, I'm glad it's working now.  Hope this helps someone.

You are not using Armbian.  The location you are downloading from is a fork of armbian.  They use the Armbian name without permission.  We can't help you in these forums because we don't know what code you are using, you need to direct your questions to the location you downloaded your code from.  Those developers do not participate in these forums, nor support armbian development.

Hey Brother,

Im using this same Android box and I'm recently having an issue of resolution fluctuations..

The box startups in 1080p default resolution..and the resolution bugging from 1080px60..1096px176..1074px4 etc. like that..and the screen is black

When I set it to the lowest resolution which is 480p it shows picture but pink color and unclear picture...this happens in hdmi output only..the AV component works fine...

Do you know what's the reason and how to fix this?
