Realtek RTL8188CUS drivers for xenial

Hi!

 

First of all, HELLO! I'm new here.

 

I'm trying to install my wifi dongle Realtek RTL8188CUS that I had for my raspberry pi in my Cubieboard A20 with ARMBIAN Xenial Server Legacy and I can't do it work.

 

Has anyone tried?

Hi,

the driver provided in the kernel does not work, please try this:

https://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Advanced-Features/#how-to-build-a-wireless-driver

put your new driver to be auto loaded in /etc/modules,

then depmod -a,

and poweroff / poweron.

your wlan0 should now show up.

 

I think this is a test to new users ;-)

Could be difficult with legacy kernel. Assuming it is 3.4.113...
