olekvi Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Hello I received my first OrangePi today, a Zero, and I'm a bit lost. Installed armbian xenial, upgraded to beta/dev and installed dev kernel as documented. (working!) But after this upgrade only one CPU core is in use. I've searched, and think my problem may be uboot, can anyone point me in the right direction? (is there a working 4.x kernel with quadcore support?) Thanks! Neophyte Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Hello! I have exactly the same issue on a different setup: Orange PI+ 2e on Armbian Debian Jessie. I need to switch to a more recent kernel because of docker. May there be a solution as well for Jessie? Thanks in advance!

If you are using the beta repository you can remove bootm_boot_mode line from /boot/armbianEnv.txt to fix this. 1

Xenial package base is newer than Jessie one, so it's preferred for the tests, and we usually don't add more image targets than needed for testing to conserve resources.
