Rafael Wilmar Hoffmann Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Hi, I was able to perform serial communication (uart1, uart2, uart3) on Orange Pi PC with the arbiam operating system. Now, I need to perform the same communication using another operating system (Debian or Ubuntu). I can not set the pins on uart. Anyone have any tips? thank you Att, Rafael
Rafael Wilmar Hoffmann Posted June 3, 2017 Author Posted June 3, 2017 Armbian does not support the driver we need (TV adapter)
martinayotte Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Then, you will need to tweak either DTS on Mainline or FEX on Legacy to enable those UARTs.
Rafael Wilmar Hoffmann Posted June 3, 2017 Author Posted June 3, 2017 Yes, more on debian or ubuntu does not have the script.bin file .. How would it be to change the DTS?
martinayotte Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 The screenshot you've provided confirmed that it is Legacy, so no need to change any DTS. Unfortunately, I can't help on Legacy ... Maybe someone else can help ...
zador.blood.stained Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 And it looks like one of "official" Orange Pi distributions, so better post on their forum - most people here have no iea how do they manage different script.bin configurations.

It's supported by default - check forum for advanced adjustment if needed. If you are talking about some 3rd party TV tuners, stock kernel will have only less support than ours. Even better support in TV tuner area you will achieve with modern kernels, but they are still in development stage ... "use at your own risk".
