25.5.0-trunk.185_Orangepi5-max build break the HDMI output from Mar 6, 2025

Hi,

 

it seem that Armbian_community_25.5.0-trunk.185_Orangepi5-max build break the HDMI output, in gnome and bookworm.

I try to boot the two with SD card.

 

existing sytem that make an apt upgrade, the 185 also seem to broke all the system.

I also can't get gnome or bookworm to boot with Mar 6 releases

Could you please share your dmesg log? Which kernel version are you using? Please provide some information to help us understand the issue.

it's the version from download link seem to 6.12.

 

i can't give you log, from card no acces and updated version from ssd will stay on error now.

Are you able to boot your sbc? I'm getting constant green light. there is nothing to see in the UART.
Previous images with kernel 6.1.99 are working correctly.

Any idea?

Quick update

 

New builds dated 17th March don't work either. Exactly the same problem - no boot. All I get is a flashing blue light. The February build works fine - no wifi - but at least it boots

Ubuntu and Debian versions dated 3rd April work fine until updated, then wifi disappears

I can confirm that 25.5.0-trunk.256 and following work but all trunks after 256 (301 and 334) break WiFi and BT.

As long as the board isn't dead it is starting to boot.  That is why Werner directed you to how to capture the uboot booting messages via a uart connection to the board.

Apologies. Didn't realise that. I have no means of connecting to uart - I'll want until a bootable version shows up.
