static.char Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Hi, I'm running armbian ubuntu image 4.13.14-sunxi64 on Orange Prime, and have a problem. Wifi wont work. I can see a wlan0 as a result of ifconfig, but it neither find a wireless network, nor connect to provided. From dmesg i can see driver is spamming with message [ 303.336420] RTL8723BS: ERROR sd_recv_rxfifo: alloc recvbuf FAIL! I have /var/log overflow in several minutes and also frequent system freezes. rmmod r8723bs causes all this stuff to stop. Can anyone suggest where should i look? Thanks. Btw, self built debian stretch image 4.14 gives the same behaviour. I understand that H5 support is experimental, I just want to solve this issue.
bzoltick Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 Has there been a fix for this problem? I see the same error messages filling up my kern.log file.
Igor Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/9781903/ This was added, but I don't know if it solve this issue.
static.char Posted February 21, 2018 Author Posted February 21, 2018 Yes, this issue was fixed, but i faced a new problem, sometimes it cannot find wifi networks. Everything worked fine, but I had to power off my wifi router for a moment, after this my board was unable to even scan for available wifi networks, however my phone and notebook successfully reconnected. Reboot of my board helped. This issue occasionally replicates. may be the problem is in my router. Need time to investigate more
