@Igor how come there isn't any mainline kernels available for these boards

 

lack of time or lack of interest ?

 

currently using xilka kernel but would love to have it in apt less messy would be awesome to include/combine those builds and get more support for imx6 since graphics is up to 3.14.60 and mainline is at 4.4.0 (minimal support for graphics kinda like your mainline packages).

I do have mainline support for some time, formally will be introduced with 4.4.1 (in 1-2weeks)

apt-get install linux-image-next-cubox linux-dtb-next-cubox

Current version is 4.3.3 which is upgraded to 4.4.1 when become avaliable.

I installed the latest 4.9.12-cubox kernel from armbian repo. It seems there is no pcie support in the kernel and the sound part is also lack of some points.

 

Is it possible to turn on the following settings in the next kernel version?

 

For pcie:

Bus support > Message signaled Interrupts (MSI and MSI-X)

Bus support > PCI host contoller drivers > Freescale i.MX6 PCIe controller

 

For sound:

Device Drivers > Sound card support > Advanced Linux Sound Architecture > ALSA for SoC audio support > SoC Audio for Freescale CPUs > SoC Audio support for i.MX boards with sgtl5000
