dvachon Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Hi! On my Banana Pi PRO, i installed this «Armbian_5.00_Bananapi_Debian_jessie_4.4.1» but applications report 'no soundcards found'. I did the apt-get upgrade for 5.01 but still same problem.
Igor Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Check some of those: http://linux.die.net/man/1/speaker-test
zador.blood.stained Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Analog output in mainline kernel was activated (by patching DT files) only on non-Pro Banana Pi.
Igor Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Analog output in mainline kernel was activated (by patching DT files) only on non-Pro Banana Pi. True, forgot that. But since u-boot selects normal banana by default it should work unless you don't change DTB to the one from Pro. Temporally / partial workaround is by using a DTB from normal Banana.
dvachon Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 Hi! I did your 'workaround' by using Pi DTB and now sound is working but i lost the 'Pro build-in' wifi
Igor Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Hi! I did your 'workaround' by using Pi DTB and now sound is working but i lost the 'Pro build-in' wifi Known problem. I tried to create a general banana fix, but I produce more problems. Since I don't own Banana PRO (yet) and am out of office I can't deal with this problem in next 1-2 weeks. Try using DTB from Banana Pi + or work on those DTBs that everything will work
dvachon Posted February 21, 2016 Author Posted February 21, 2016 Thank you very much for your support! For now, i will use the BananaPi (not Pro) DTB without wifi. I will wait for the fix. Have a nice day.
