I thought I had this mastered but I cannot get the OPI to boot. I downloaded the current legacy image trusty, use 7zip to unzip it and then use a image writer to write the image to the SD formatted sd card.

Am I missing something here?

Which Windows version do you use to write a card?

Unzipped .raw images can be written with supplied imagewriter.exe on Windows XP/2003/Win7, with Rufus on Windows 8.x / 10 or with DD command in Linux/Mac

I tried using the installed imagewriter.exe but it will not recognize sd card. Also tried Rufus but only recognizes usb thumb drive. I'm still at a loss.

Supplied writer does not work on Windows 10. This is clear. I am not using Windows 10 so I am not 100% sure but try this alternative:

Alright, some success 😯. I was able to ssh into OPI and get to root. Now I need to figure out how to change the resolution to work on monitor w/hdmi to vga.

Thank you for your time Igor! I figured it out (noob). Desktop is a little out of the border on the hdmi screen. Using sudo h3disp -m 5. Desktop looks pretty cool!
