issues with creating an SD card with etcher

while creating an ISO on SD: Etcher says ::

it looks like this is not a bootable image; the image does not appear to contain a partition table and mitht not be recognized
or bootable by your device


well - this makes me wonder.

btw: first time i write to sd-cards.

in earlier times i had to write images to DVD

or bootable by your device Exactly which file did you try to write? Was it one of the standard Raspbian downloads from https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/?

Why are talking about ISO here ? Which ISO file ?

A normal Armbian image should be an "img" file, and "fdisk -l <image_filename>" should shows the partitions.

(BTW, ISO partitions can also been seen with "fdisk -l", this means the file you are looking at is probably corrupted)

Stop "learning" from random junk from the internet. There is a short FAQ on download page containing exactly what you need to know to get started.
