chradev
Hi to All, Today I try to re-build Armbian (with legacy kernel 3.4 and Debian Jessie) customized by me a week ago and get into trouble to buld and boot it. I am fixing also: BOOTBRANCH=v2015.10 REVISION="5.05" At build process I see that kernel was migrated from version 3.4.110 to 3.4.111 but it builds with no problems. Unfortunately, USB redirector build did not succeed displaying bunch of errors: [ o.k. ] Installing external applications [ USB redirector ] In file included from /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/usbd.h:67:0, from /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/loader.c:13: /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/loader.c: In function ‘IIIIIIllI’: /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/utils.h:77:12: error: inlining failed in call to always_inline ‘IIlIIIlII’: function body not available inline int IIlIIIlII(struct device*dev);inline int IIllIlIIl(struct device*dev); ^ /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/loader.c:197:38: error: called from here ==BUS_NOTIFY_ADD_DEVICE){if(IIlIIIlII(lIIIIl)){struct usb_device*lIIIl= ^ In file included from /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/usbd.h:67:0, from /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/loader.c:13: /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/utils.h:77:52: error: inlining failed in call to always_inline ‘IIllIlIIl’: function body not available inline int IIlIIIlII(struct device*dev);inline int IIllIlIIl(struct device*dev); ^ /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/loader.c:215:21: error: called from here }}}else if(IIllIlIIl(lIIIIl)){struct usb_interface*llIIl=to_usb_interface(dev); ^ In file included from /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/usbd.h:67:0, from /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/loader.c:13: /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/utils.h:77:52: error: inlining failed in call to always_inline ‘IIllIlIIl’: function body not available inline int IIlIIIlII(struct device*dev);inline int IIllIlIIl(struct device*dev); ^ /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/loader.c:269:79: error: called from here ,lIIIII(&llIIl->dev));}}}}else if(IIllIII==BUS_NOTIFY_DEL_DEVICE){if(IIllIlIIl( ^ In file included from /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/usbd.h:67:0, from /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/loader.c:13: /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/utils.h:77:12: error: inlining failed in call to always_inline ‘IIlIIIlII’: function body not available inline int IIlIIIlII(struct device*dev);inline int IIllIlIIl(struct device*dev); ^ /data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/loader.c:275:20: error: called from here }}else if(IIlIIIlII(lIIIIl)){struct usb_device*lIIIl=to_usb_device(lIIIIl);if( ^ make[2]: *** [/data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/loader.o] Error 1 make[1]: *** [_module_/data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd] Error 2 make: *** [default] Error 2 cp: cannot stat ‘/data/armbian-legacy/sources/usb-redirector-linux-arm-eabi/files/modules/src/tusbd/tusbd.ko’: No such file or directory Any way final image was build and the boot finished without any error messages but with no reboot and login prompt. Connection to the board via ssh failed as well. The only strange thing at boot is long waiting time after: EXT4-fs (mmcblk0p1): re-mounted. Opts: data=writeback,commit=600,errors=remount-ro I try to build and run Armbian without limiting REVISION but result is the same. Find attached the boot log. I am using Lime 2 board and customization was verified to work without any problems more than week with Armbian revision 5.05, U-Boot ver. 2015.10 and kernel ver. 3.4.110. Where can be the problem in USB redirector build and inability to boot successfully? EDIT: Image boot successfully on the other Lime 2 board I have but USB redirector build is still not successful. Igor
USB redirector sources were changed yesterday After long long time ... perhaps they fixed support for kernel 4.x+ ... ? and broke for 3.4.... http://www.incentivespro.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=
