Lubuntu image+SATA support+Audio+Networking+Video Acceleration

Hello Igor and congrats for your contribution and regards to community!

As the title points, is there any chance to create a Lubuntu image that will out of the box support all Pis (Banana Pi, Banana Pro, BPi-R1) with SATA, audio, networking and video acceleration?

If it's too much, does anyone knows what OS is close to that requirements at least for BPi-R1? Or can we build something like this from scratch with your resources?

I tried to create a new image based on LeMakers Lubuntu for Banana Pi (http://jubitoblog.blogspot.gr/2015/06/jubitos-z-operating-system-for-internet.html - http://jubitoblog.blogspot.gr/2015/02/jubitos-for-banana-pi.html) without much luck, on combine all in one.

Any proposals are very welcome!

Thanks

It's possible to build such image with my script, also with HW acceleration. I made one (private) test build with Wheezy about month ago.

Since this part is experimental it might need further fixing.

I can't say for other images - which is cool, working, supported, HW acc. enabled. Don't use them.

Thanks for your reply!

You mean this one I suppose https://github.com/igorpecovnik/lib

Where

BUILD_DESKTOP="no"

can I use "yes" and how to aim lxde with a full graphical env, include network managers, audio, etc that is provided almost in a desktop distro.

Can it run on a desktop distro of ubuntu or only the server image you point?

When it's over the output file is ready to dd to an SD card?

Sorry if my questions are stupid but I'm in a rush and frustration, things that you were on :)

This builds only basic desktop environment and it's not fine tuned.

It's a good start but far from plug and play.

On both. Server is minimum requirements.

Yes

One option is also to get an prebuild image an build a desktop of your wish on it. For hw acceleration you have to use kernel 3.4.x, Wheezy is recommended.
