Armbianmonitor:

Hi,

I did a dist-upgrade on my BPi M1. Now it is running on

ARMBIAN 5.73 stable Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) 4.7.3-sunxi

When I choose a newer kernel in armbian-config after the reboot it is still running with the old kernel.

When I do an apt-get upgrade it shows this error in the output:

update-initramfs: failed for /boot/initrd.img-4.20.7-sunxi with 1

The BPi is booting from SSD with LVM.

Thank you very much for any help.

Regards,

Robert

SDcard's /boot folder must be mounted to /boot all the time. Mount it (add to fstab) and manually install image + dtb package.

Thank you very much for your replay, Igor.

Could you please be more precise? I'm not a linux expert.

Two or three years ago I found an instruction, how to boot Armbian from lvm, that worked for me,

but with this problem I'm overwhelmed.

When I try to mount /dev/mmcblk0p1/boot I get an error.

What do I exactly have to do to run the system on the lvm as if it is running on the SD card?
