      Install avahi-daemon with ssh service exposed by default

      Hello Armbian team, I’m a big fan of your work and use Armbian on all my single-board computers, including Orange Pi, Banana Pi, and Raspberry Pi. However, I’ve noticed a recurring issue during bootstrapping: identifying the device on the network. Enabling the avahi-daemon could make it easier to connect to or discover the device using mDNS. What are your thoughts on this?

      Overlays do not apply even when selected in armbian-config and then rebooting

      You might have the situation that your Pi sees/has 2x U-Boot, 2x boot.scr Or even more. boot.scr is generated from boot.cmd, look in there how scripting composes the name of your overlay files. Multiple copies and/or versions will create mystery. Take your time and see what is what and where. And connect serial console. It allows you to load dtbo manually, needs a lot of U-boot commands study, I also had to learn myself.

      Using compile.sh for Orange Pi, PCIe/NVMe not working

      this doesnt look good in your logs - means the device tree information is possibly missing/corrupted (and likely devices are missing as a result) - Failed to load DTB, ret=-2 No valid DTB, ret=-22 Failed to get kernel dtb, ret=-22 i would check that any configuration related to DTB's is valid and pointing to the correct files. Some clues to look at include /boot/dtb* and /boot/armbianEnv.txt eg (this is a different rk3588 board, but results should be similar): $ more /boot/armbianEnv.txt verbosity=1 bootlogo=false console=both overlay_prefix=rockchip-rk3588 fdtfile=rockchip/rk3588-radxa-rock-5b+.dtb rootdev=UUID=7050d993-d3c0-457c-baf0-282bfb0afb63 rootfstype=ext4 usbstoragequirks=0x2537:0x1066:u,0x2537:0x1068:u $ ls /boot/dtb* /boot/dtb: rockchip /boot/dtb-6.1.84-vendor-rk35xx: rockchip $ ls -l /boot/dtb-6.1.84-vendor-rk35xx/rockchip/rk3588-radxa-rock-5b+.dtb -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 272592 Dec 15 10:37 /boot/dtb-6.1.84-vendor-rk35xx/rockchip/rk3588-radxa-rock-5b+.dtb

      shrink-backup - a tool for backing up sbc:s

      Found the login credentials, lets continue on the github where we started. Might as well make the disclaimer here too. The "original" Bedna has passed, I as an extremely close relative have taken over. (Bedna actually came from "Big Edna" a character in the Weird Al movie UHF and we kinda shared that username, twins you know) All credentials for his accounts has been passed on to me so his spirit will live on in shrink-backup. There are TONS of documentation left behind. Please do not make a thing about it. I just wanted to let ppl know that this is still in good hands and will continue to be supported if bugs are found and if changes are needed to be made. But as for getting it into armbian as armbian-backup will have to take a step back. He started with things, but if I do that, it is better to start from scratch again, and my time is a bit limited...
