  1. Version 20230702-current with kernel 6.2 for StarFive 1 (jh7100). When starting Debian with DE XFCE\IceWM, there is a bug, immediately at the first start the system switches to Lightdm, to start correctly, switch to the first console (Ctl+Alt+F1) and perform the initial configuration of the system, and reboot system. With a number of limitations, you can even watch videos in windowed mode using the PAROLE player and a USB sound card.
  2. Version 20230630-current for Allwinner D1. The package composition has changed significantly, now the system is close to other platforms in terms of package composition. Fixed Debian startup. Version 20230630-edge (6.4.0) for Allwinner D1.
  3. MangoPI Just downloaded the image from the website, recorded it on the SD card and launched root@nezha:~# uname -a Linux nezha 6.4.0-rc6-d1 #trunk Fri Jun 16 09:23:49 MSK 2023 riscv64 riscv64 riscv64 GNU/Linux root@nezha:~# ip a 1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000 link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever inet6 ::1/128 scope host valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever 3: usb0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 qdisc noop state DOWN group default qlen 1000 link/ether 8a:7d:bd:0a:5d:eb brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff 4: wlan0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state UP group default qlen 1000 link/ether 94:a4:08:cd:88:9c brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff inet 10.1.30.37/24 brd 10.1.30.255 scope global dynamic noprefixroute wlan0 valid_lft 25047sec preferred_lft 25047sec inet6 fe80::f69c:a60f:64e3:e69e/64 scope link noprefixroute valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever root@nezha:~#
  4. I checked the installation of the system in SD\eMMC + NVMe mode. The system works noticeably faster. For example, launching the LibreOffice Writer application takes only 3 seconds, which is very good for entry-level support.
  5. they work, only requires a number of manual operations to prepare for launch. If you don't know what needs to be done, wait for the images to come out with automatic startup. I have published these versions at the request of those who know what needs to be done. With so many details - wait for a psychic who will guess what is going on with you (what equipment you have, all your steps, etc.).
  6. Version 20230628 is legacy. (lunar and sid) Important. A significant change in the composition of the system, now it corresponds to a similar composition of other platforms. Added images with DE for Debian.
  7. add image Lunar (CLI)
  8. It looks like the installation script is crooked and destroys the regular u-boot in any case, it needs to be changed. Check this option (you can not restore anything on eMMC). Burn the Armbian image to the SD card, add boot.ini, start the system from the SD card, perform a regular installation, and BEFORE rebooting, mount eMMC and add boot.ini to it. Check the launch without an SD card.
  9. All checks are only from Android to eMMC. Return android to eMMC. Start android and wait for its first launch (it should expand the DATA partition from ext4 to the entire size of eMMC). Launch Armbian from the SD card (+ boot.ini). REMOVE the u-boot package from the Armbian system (check that after that there are no u-boot* and linux-u-boot* subdirectories in the /usr/lib directory, if there are any, delete them), this is a crooked package and its files do not work correctly. DO NOT create any partitions manually. Run the installation on eMMC, perhaps the system will write that there is no u-boot, as it should be, you should leave the regular u-boot from android.
  10. What size SD card do you use? Which installation option do you choose ? Which partition table did you use (msdos or gpt) for eMMC? Try to create an MS DOS table and not create any partitions on eMMC. This error is another confirmation that the images from the MAIN branch are useless junk.
  11. Ver 20230626-legacy - fix WiFi and BT
  12. To fix the sound, need to check the kernel. Is there a version of the image where the sound worked?
  13. Can you check the installation on eMMC and show the startup log UART from eMMC, after installing Armbian on eMMC on the original Android ? To install, use armbian-install.
  14. @NicoD To run from an SD card, after writing the image, add the boot.ini file to the root dir (exactly to the root dir, not to the subdirectory, i.e. it should be like this /boot.ini) And so far, the UART log at this launch. https://disk.yandex.ru/d/rYwlbXIDWg1gvQ
  15. With this, too, everything is clear, tomorrow I will try to send you a correction.
  16. Tnx. I saw the reason what is missing to run Armbian if the default Android firmware is used. ^)
  17. I only need the output of the u-boot operation, before the kernel starts running Android. You can easily "limit" the desired output - when the kernel startup lines start (line "Start kernel ..."), just turn off the power. I also need the same log to run Armbian from an Sd card.
  18. Ver 20230623-legacy - fix 8Gb RAM work LAN, USB, SD, HDMI, analog and HDMI sound
  19. If possible, I am interested in the Armbian startup log from the SD card with the VIM3 in its normal state, as it arrives to users upon purchase (i.e. the default factory state of SPI\eMMC).
  20. Test version of images 20230622-legacy for star64. https://disk.yandex.ru/d/eEC4riP1jBWCeg Important. For the system to work correctly, you need to update the bootloader once. To do this, download the image from the link https://disk.yandex.ru/d/zsqznfa1ySI2gw burn it to the SD card, connect it to Star64 and turn on the power, wait 2 minutes and turn off the power. After that, you can write an ArmbianTV image to the SD card, connect it to Star64 and the system will start automatically. The next steps are usually the initial setup of Armbian. In versions with DE (IceWM XFCE). even video playback in the window works (fullscreen mode does not work) through the Parole player. Analog audio output is enabled by default, to switch to HDMI audio, use the settings via Volume Control as usual. root@192.168.1.51's password: ____ _ __ _ _ / ___|| |_ __ _ _ __ / /_ | || | \___ \| __/ _` | '__| '_ \| || |_ ___) | || (_| | | | (_) |__ _| |____/ \__\__,_|_| \___/ |_| Welcome to Armbian 23.06 Jammy with Linux 5.15.115-star64 System load: 3% Up time: 3 min Memory usage: 3% of 3.80G IP: 192.168.1.51 CPU temp: 39°C Usage of /: 17% of 7.1G RX today: 19.4 KiB [ 10 security updates available, 12 updates total: apt upgrade ] Last check: 2023-06-22 12:32 [ General system configuration (beta): armbian-config ] Last login: Thu Jun 22 12:32:24 2023 root@star64:~# cat /proc/cpuinfo processor : 0 hart : 1 isa : rv64imafdc mmu : sv39 isa-ext : uarch : sifive,u74-mc processor : 1 hart : 2 isa : rv64imafdc mmu : sv39 isa-ext : uarch : sifive,u74-mc processor : 2 hart : 3 isa : rv64imafdc mmu : sv39 isa-ext : uarch : sifive,u74-mc processor : 3 hart : 4 isa : rv64imafdc mmu : sv39 isa-ext : uarch : sifive,u74-mc root@star64:~# neofetch .-/+oossssoo+/-. root@star64 `:+ssssssssssssssssss+:` ----------- -+ssssssssssssssssssyyssss+- OS: Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS riscv64 .ossssssssssssssssssdMMMNysssso. 21. Igor asked me to help you with the launch of Armbian. Show the UART startup log in two states - Armbian start from SD card and kreskue start from SD card. IMHo kreskue is a bad tool and I would not advise using it, everything can be done without it.
  22. In the LEGACY image (20230620), I can see how the fan turns on for a second when turned off. I have not yet been able to load the device to reach a temperature above 65 degrees in order to evaluate the operation of the fan under load. On the latest legacy version (20230620), I see the availability of available networks in the network management interface. Wi-fi has the lowest priority for me, I don't check and test it. This is as it should be, this is a common group for all 3588.

  24. there is no easy way, if you need a new kernel, use the appropriate image with a new kernel.
  25. Test versions are available. I will post all the details on the forum at the link. https://bbs.stationpc.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=411&extra=page%3D1%26filter%3Dauthor%26orderby%3Dlastpost
