indianajones Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 I downloaded the armbian focal image for NanoPi NEO/Core board, and it works great. (Specifically, Armbian_20.11.10_Nanopineo_focal_current_5.10.4.img, so it's a few months old.) I'd like to start creating my own image, and I'm all setup to do that, but what I'd love to do is start from the .config file(s) used to create the image I'm using. That way I have a known base configuration from which to start modding. Are those available anywhere to download? Thanks! 0 Quote

Werner Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Your issue report is not a valid bug report per the Armbian bug reporting instructions (https://www.armbian.com/bugs). With limited resources the Armbian project is only able to spend time on issues where all the requested information has been provided and for only the boards/images/software that are supported. Your report is invalid for one or more of the following reasons (non-exhaustive list): it is for an unsupported board or image (CSC/EOS/WIP/edge) it is for software that is not supported (such as userspace modules installed on top of the core operating system) it has been logged in the wrong forum (for example requests for help that are not actual bug reports) it lacks requested data (armbianmonitor output) it could have been easily solved by a quick search and/or reading documentation Please review what you have submitted and the bug logging instructions (https://www.armbian.com/bugs) and either add the required information or open a new topic in the correct forum (such as Common issues / peer to peer technical support or General chit chat) 0 Quote
indianajones Posted April 9, 2021 Author Posted April 9, 2021 My apologies, I didn't realize I was posting in the bugs forum. Regarding documentation, I've read plenty of the documentation - it is excellent. However, I didn't find references to the config files used to build the supported images. My apologies for not finding them. 0 Quote

At a certain point when we think things are stable enough official images are created, then master branch moves along. Tags are created every release but since Armbian heavily relies on 3rd party repositories which are not nailed down to a specific branch/tag they move forward too and our tag might break. Due to very limited human resources we cannot afford to continuously watch closely for those repos and tag them as well when releasing a new version of Armbian. 0 Quote
